• Kelly Ferrie is the only charter member still active today and has served as Fire Chief for many years.
• Three chaplins have served our spiritual needs over the years: Frank Hagberg, Fred Yarborborough and James Swanson ll
• The department has gone from an all-male department with nearly one quarter of its membership female in 2006
• Harry Nasman recycled aluminum cans for many years, donating all the money to the Fire Department
• Our only paramedics Ron Johnson and Jim Kilby were the first paramedics to save a life with a defibrillator, just days after the paramedic program was sponsored by Warren General Hospital
• There are five married couples, who are members of the department
